The directors of Flowban, Ltd. took delivery of the first production units destined for the U.S. from Sovrin Plastics in Slough, England, on March 17. Flowban is a plumbing fitting that stops bathtub floods by automatically turning off the flow to the faucets when a tub is overfilled.
Flowban will be on show for the first time at WQA Aquatech in Las Vegas. It has been reengineered to meet the specific requirements of the U.S. market and U.S. plumbing standards.
“We are very excited at the prospects for Flowban in the U.S.” said Jonny Seccombe, managing director of Flowban, Ltd. “We have had huge interest from hotel owners keen to protect their rooms from the damage caused by tub floods and we also see a big demand from condominium owners and assisted living providers”.
Flowban is nonelectrical and needs no batteries to operate. It automatically resets itself as soon as the water level drops below the overflow outlet. It can be concealed behind bath panels and needs no service or maintenance.
