  • Pipe Line Development Co. Achieves ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 Certifications

Company says achieving the voluntary certifications demonstrates commitment to quality
    January 18, 2010

The Pipe Line Development Co. (PLIDCO), a supplier of products for pipeline repair and maintenance, announced it has achieved ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 certification.

The ISO 9001 certification is a process that documents and verifies that a specific design/engineering and manufacturing facility consistently operates at a world-class quality level.

To achieve ISO 9001:2008 certification, PLIDCO had to meet the latest international ISO requirements for a quality management system. The company said it did this by demonstrating its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and aiming to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

PLIDCO has been ISO 9001:2000 certified since 2000, and recently achieved the latest ISO 9001:2008 certification. This was done by demonstrating its ability at effective planning, operation and control of its processes and the implementation and continual improvement of the effectiveness of its quality management system, the company said.

ISO 14001:2004 certification is a process that enables an organization to develop, implement, maintain and improve an environmental management system.

To achieve ISO 14001:2004 certification, PLIDCO had to demonstrate conformity with ISO 14001:2004 by having its environmental management system certified and registered through an accredited certification organization.

“Both the voluntary ISO 14001 and 9001 certifications demonstrate PLIDCO’s commitment to quality in its products and processes and its ongoing commitment to customer satisfaction through quality control,” said Kim Smith, marketing manager, PLIDCO.
