Deadline approaching to submit ideas in water technology, product applications and more
The American Water Works Assn. (AWWA) has announced that the 2012 Annual Conference & Exposition (ACE12) Call for Papers will be closing at 2 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, Sept. 20. Interested individuals should submit abstracts by that deadline.
Submission is open to both members and nonmembers with ideas that will impact the water and wastewater industry. Manufacturers are encouraged to submit abstracts outlining new technology, unique product applications or equipment of interest to the water community. Papers for both posters and oral presentations will be included in the conference proceedings.
The presentations selected by AWWA volunteers will comprise the conference professional program of more than 80 half-day sessions. Sessions will be available for utility board members and city council members, personnel directors, public communications managers, customer service professionals and financial managers as well as utility executives and managers, operators, researchers and engineers.
With an expected attendance of 11,000 water professionals, AWWA's annual conference provides the largest and longest-running world water event, offering presenters the opportunity to advance their position as thought leaders and to network with other members of the water community.
