The Water Quality Assn.’s (WQA) Gold Seal product certification program continues to grow and expand to meet the needs of the industry. This is being accomplished while maintaining quality control procedures and customer service. Regulatory acceptance of Gold Seal certification has reached a new high with the addition of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Energy Star program, which is now accepting the Gold Seal program for compliance of water coolers.
WQA prepares for new and ongoing ventures in 2013
Ultrafiltration (UF) offers an efficient and effective opportunity for treatment of extremely small contaminants. Recent developments in the chemistry and assembly of UF membranes make this technology available for a wide range of applications, from residential to commercial to industrial.
UF membranes provide efficient method for water treatment
The entry-level Economy RO system is made with heavy-duty glass-filled polypropylene. It offers twice the strength and durability of ABS-constructed systems. The serviceable check valve eliminates spring noise. Clearly labeled inlets and outlets, double O-ring quick-connect fittings and a handy sump wrench make installation fast and easy. An NSF-certified storage tank, chrome faucet tubing and fittings are included.
Axeon offers a comprehensive selection of light commercial RO systems. These high-quality and compact systems offer substantial savings, low maintenance and operational costs. They come pre-assembled, fully tested and ready for immediate use in applications such as beverage production, food processing, hydroponics, aquarium, misting and more.
RO-400 series units can accommodate 28,800 to 172,800 gpd, with feedwater total dissolved solids ranging from 1,000 ppm to 5,000 ppm. These systems come standard with media prefilters, chemical dosing and antiscalant. Customization is available on all units based on individual water application and customer needs. Each unit includes 8-in.
RO-300 series units can come with multimedia and activated carbon prefilters, water softeners with a brine tank and UV sterilizers. RO-300 units can also be customized to include chemical dosing, cleaning skids, antiscalant and more. They can accommodate between 13,000 to 32,000 gpd, with feedwater total dissolved solids of 1,000 ppm to 5,000 ppm. The series’ standard features include 4-in.
SWC Series reverse osmosis systems are available with capacities ranging from 380 gal per day to 7,600 gpd and maximum feedwater total dissolved solids of 42,000 parts per million. Pure Aqua offers standard SWC Series units as well as customizable systems to fit your water application needs. Whether it's for your luxury yacht, cruise liner or five-star resort on the beach, Pure Aqua has the right commercial seawater reverse osmosis system for your project.
X2 RO systems are engineered to produce high-purity water by reducing dissolved minerals, bacteria and organic impurities with product water outputs from 57,600 to 468,000 gpd. The systems are ideal for customers seeking efficient water treatment solutions for drinking water, cooling towers, boiler feed, food processing, bottling, agriculture and a variety of other applications.
The PuroPro1200 RO system is designed for applications requiring a green solution with a small footprint, low energy requirement, high TDS rejection and ease of service. The system treats 1,200 gpd at 50-psi feedwater pressure, eliminating the need for a feedwater pump. It can be installed with sumps mounted vertically or horizontally, and is ready to go right out of the box. The system can operate with either captive or atmospheric RO water storage applications.
