AXEON X2 Industrial Reverse Osmosis Systems are engineered to produce high-quality water by reducing dissolved minerals, bacteria and organic impurities with product water outputs from 50,000 to 1,000,000 gpd. AXEON X2 systems represent an exceptional offering for customers who seek an efficient water treatment solution for drinking water, cooling towers, boiler feed, food processing, bottling, agriculture and a variety of other applications.
Powered only by the hydraulic energy of brine water that is usually lost to the drain, the Permeate Pump—which can be included with Nelsen’s Aqua Elite RO system—forces product water into the storage tank, reducing membrane back pressure and maximizing available feed pressure. These pumps dramatically improve the efficiency of RO water production, reducing wastewater by up to 80%. They can also bring storage tanks up to line pressure and then shut the system down when the tanks reach capacity, eliminating the need for a hydraulic shut-off valve.
Chem-Aqua to distribute Nephros's ultrafilters in North America
Nephros Inc. and Chem-Aqua Inc., a wholly owned water treatment subsidiary of NCH Corp., announced that they have signed a non-exclusive distributor agreement for Chem-Aqua to distribute Nephros' ultrafilters (UF) in North America. Chem-Aqua is now beginning launch efforts, including scheduling training sessions and promoting UF to the hospital market.
The Water Quality Assn.’s (WQA) Gold Seal product certification program continues to grow and expand to meet the needs of the industry. This is being accomplished while maintaining quality control procedures and customer service. Regulatory acceptance of Gold Seal certification has reached a new high with the addition of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Energy Star program, which is now accepting the Gold Seal program for compliance of water coolers.
WQA prepares for new and ongoing ventures in 2013
Ultrafiltration (UF) offers an efficient and effective opportunity for treatment of extremely small contaminants. Recent developments in the chemistry and assembly of UF membranes make this technology available for a wide range of applications, from residential to commercial to industrial.

The entry-level Economy RO system is made with heavy-duty glass-filled polypropylene. It offers twice the strength and durability of ABS-constructed systems. The serviceable check valve eliminates spring noise. Clearly labeled inlets and outlets, double O-ring quick-connect fittings and a handy sump wrench make installation fast and easy. An NSF-certified storage tank, chrome faucet tubing and fittings are included.
Axeon offers a comprehensive selection of light commercial RO systems. These high-quality and compact systems offer substantial savings, low maintenance and operational costs. They come pre-assembled, fully tested and ready for immediate use in applications such as beverage production, food processing, hydroponics, aquarium, misting and more.
