CELF and Vestergaard Frandsen partner in sustainability education program
The Children’s Environmental Literacy Foundation (CELF) has partnered with Vestergaard Frandsen (VF) to launch the LifeStraw 100 Schools Water Campaign. CELF is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to making sustainability education an integral part of every school’s curriculum and culture. Vestergaard Frandsen manufactures LifeStraw water filters, which turn dirty water into safe, clean drinking water.
WWIF founder travels to Ghana to expand the foundation's humanitarian efforts
Guillermo Guzman, founder of Wishing Well International Foundation (WWIF), is travelling to meet with members of the Safe Water Ghana (SWG) team to witness and assist with the deployment of filters to 50 more families in the village of Bagliga in northern Ghana. This latest deployment completes the project initiated by the students at St. Paul Lutheran School in Boca Raton, Fla.
Global Portal makes information on properties of chemicals available to the public
The human health benchmarks for pesticides, developed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), were published in December 2012 to the Global Portal to Information on Chemical Substances. The portal makes available to the public information on properties of chemicals, such as physical chemical characteristics, environmental fate, human toxicity and ecotoxicity.
Power and water services restored to more than 130,000 rural customers

WaterTrax released WaterTrax Parameters Portal, an online reference guide that gives water quality professionals access to a comprehensive database of water contaminant information and the regulatory standards associated with them. The database is free and accessible for online public access.
