WaterSense releases final specification for commercial pre-rinse spray valves
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) WaterSense program released a final specification for water- and energy-efficient commercial pre-rinse spray valves, the first commercial kitchen product eligible to earn the WaterSense label. Pre-rinse spray valves — used in commercial food service establishments to remove food waste from dishes prior to dishwashing — can account for nearly one-third of the water used in the typical commercial kitchen.
The MNRUB water control valve is an alternative to machined brass valves. The WS1 Twin Alternating control valve maximizes softener capacity and optimizes salt efficiency. This 1-in. valve provides a service flow rate up to 30 gpm and a backwash flow rate up to 16 gpm, with the meter and bypass installed. It has backwash and brining capabilities up to a 21-in.-diameter mineral tank. It incorporates patented seal-spacer stack assembly and patented technologies from the WS1 and WS3 valves.
