United Filters Intl. has introduced a new water treatment system for point-of-entry applications. Trident whole-house water filtration provides protection against lead in all three stages. Using the company’s Ultra-D submicron filters with proprietary, patented electroadsorptive technology, they also reduce or remove up to 99.99% of viruses, bacteria, cysts, other heavy metals, chlorine, chloramines, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other chemicals from tap water.
The system consists of:
• Stage 1 – a high-flow Ultra-D submicron pre-filter for the reduction of sediment, lead and other contaminants;
• Stage 2 – an Ultra-D, PAC/Agion submicron filter for the reduction of lead, viruses, bacteria, cysts, chlorine, other heavy metals and VOCs; and
• Stage 3 – a catalytic carbon-block filter for the reduction of chlorine, chloramines, taste, odor, lead, VOCs and inorganics.
The system comes assembled with 1-in. ports and a housing wrench. Other filter configurations are also available; contact the company for more information.
