Driving Social Media Membership

July 18, 2012

Like many business owners, Mark and Terri Kinder of Affordable Water in Jacksonville, Fla., are navigating the waters of social media in an effort to reach their customers more effectively. Recently, they even held a contest via social media: Anyone who “liked” the company Facebook page could win a free one-year soap pack.

When it comes to social media, numbers do matter—even if your posts, shares and tweets are creative and informative, the effort will be lost without members or followers to see them. Efforts to drive social media membership, like the Kinders’ contest, can be an important aspect of reaching customers through these new platforms.

What efforts has your company made to increase your following on social media outlets such as Facebook and Twitter? Let us know at wqpeditor@sgcmail.com.
