EPA Awards More Than $150,000 to Pueblo of Pojoaque
Pueblo will use funds to provide continued support for water pollution control program
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded $157,106 to the Pueblo of Pojoaque in New Mexico. The Pueblo will use the funds to provide continued support for its water pollution control program. Surface water sampling on Pueblo lands will continue to determine if a more thorough watershed management program is needed to develop water quality standards.
Data analysis after water sampling will help the Pueblo determine if water quality needs are being met, note any changes in the quality or condition of the Pueblo’s water and understand and define the function and health of water stream ecosystems.
