The Eastern Water Quality Assn. (EWQA) announced the classes at its Fall Conference and Trade Show, taking place Nov. 16 to 18 in Lancaster, Pa.
Motivational and sales speaker Kelly Thompson of Moti-Vitality LLC will offer a pre-conference seminar, “Creating a Sales Force,” on bringing energy and creativity into the workforce. Thompson’s presentation includes his six essentials in developing a sales force, plus methods for creating business in a down economy and promoting lead generation by the sales force.
Thompson also will give a presentation called “Home Show Essentials” on creating qualified leads out of home shows. The agenda includes tips on booth presentation and maximizing lead setting opportunities with customers at the booth.
Jeffrey Yorty, DEP appliance assistant specialist, will lead a class on the new DEP groundwater rule. This new legislation includes a treatment technique requirement for all public water systems that use groundwater in order to ensure inactivation of viruses by chlorination. Yorty’s presentation will include information on the reasons behind the new rule and explain some of the rule’s requirements.
