Event to be held May 11 in Latham, N.Y.
The Eastern Water Quality Assn. (EWQA) announced a one-day educational event for water treatment professionals that will be held May 11 at the Holiday Inn Express in Latham, N.Y.
The event will offer presentations covering a variety of topics, such as arsenic and uranium removal; chloramines, ultraviolet light and 4-log reduction; and PFOA/PFOS removal. In addition, there will be a roundtable table discussion about PFOA/PFOS with individuals involved in the treatment of PFOA contamination in water supplies, helping attendees understand these new contaminants and how water suppliers and health departments address them.
Classes will have Water Quality Assn. continuing education credits. EWQA also is seeking credits for certified operators in New York state. For more information, visit www.ewqa.org.
