Companies join to provide water and wastewater treatment solutions to resource-based campsites
FilterBoxx Water & Environmental Corp., a provider of packaged water and wastewater treatment solutions, and Culligan International, a global innovator of water softening and filtration solutions for more than 70 years, announced a joint marketing agreement to supply wastewater treatment and potable drinking water systems to resource-based companies throughout North America. As part of the agreement, Culligan C-Series Potable Drinking Water Systems will be installed at oil and gas drilling, mining and pipeline campsites to deliver clean, filtered water to employees. FilterBoxx will provide a C-Series Wastewater Treatment System to complete the utility package offering.
“Culligan’s market-leading brand of portable and modular potable water systems is an ideal complement to FilterBoxx’s wastewater treatment package plants,” said Bill Jones, vice president of operations and chief operating officer for FilterBoxx. “Our companies’ mutual focus on products that feature modular design and promote ease-of-use will ensure customers that require full water utility systems have access to world class components and services.”
“This announcement formally recognizes a partnership that has already delivered successful solutions to several oil and gas customers in western Canada,” said Rod McNelly, vice president of commercial and industrial sales for Culligan International. “We believe that FilterBoxx’s breadth of wastewater and drinking water treatment solutions combined with their desire to work quickly and efficiently to meet customers’ timelines is critical to expanding Culligan’s ability to deliver safe and reliable drinking water systems to the resource-based marketplace across North America. The partnership allows Culligan to offer a complementary C-Series wastewater treatment system to our clients throughout North America.”
Part of Culligan’s Matrix Solutions product line, the Culligan C-Series Potable Drinking Water System was designed with FilterBoxx to operate in rugged outdoor environments, such as those found at resource-based campsites. The C-Series provides comprehensive multi-level water purification, monitoring and control in a single containerized solution and can be installed quickly to deliver large quantities of water on demand to populations of up to 1,200 people. The modular design also allows scalability to accommodate larger populations.
Like all of Culligan’s Matrix Solutions, the C-Series features a modular design with pre-fabricated components that can be configured to meet specific water treatment needs. Because of this flexible design, the C-Series can be built and delivered to field locations more quickly than comparable systems. This is especially important for resource-based companies who rely on mobile water treatment technology to provide superior water treatment regardless of the quality of the source water and minimize camp set-up time and operational costs.
The FilterBoxx C-Series Wastewater Treatment System was designed based on customer feedback for a compact, pre-engineered wastewater treatment package plant. It is easy to transport, set up and operate in rugged outdoor environments, such as those found at resource-based campsites. The FilterBoxx C-Series wastewater treatment plants provide advanced MBR treatment in a containerized package and can be installed quickly to deliver municipal type treatment, on demand, to populations of up to 1,200 people. The modular design allows scalability to accommodate larger populations.
