Residential Membrane
R.O. UltraTec’s newest residential membrane is the 150 gal per day (gpd) Thin Film Composite element. It is manufactured with the industry’s leading Film Technology membrane flat sheet and is spiral wound to fit all standard size residential membrane housings. This new 1.8” x 12” membrane element produces 150 gpd at 65 psi with a nominal rejection of 98%. R.O. UltraTec’s TF membranes are integrity tested and shipped “dry” for longer shelf life and are now NSF 58 approved.

Commercial Membrane Element
R.O. UltraTec USA, Inc. offers the industry’s only 80 psi commercial reverse osmosis membrane elements. The HF5-Series membrane elements are designed and constructed with the most technologically advanced materials, which allow for higher flow and rejection rates. HF5-Series membranes allow systems to maintain their production rates in cold feed water applications. At 80 psi, HF5 membranes offer up to a 20% energy savings versus standard membrane elements, thus allowing for smaller pumps and motors, extending system life expectancy while reducing component stress due to higher operating pressures. At only 80 psi, HF5-4040 Membranes offer 2500 GPD while maintaining a 98.5% nominal salt rejection.

Vessels
The 2500/4000 Series stainless steel membrane pressure vessels are precision manufactured, using high-grade materials, for connection to standard RO membrane elements and are available in 304 and 316 stainless steel. They are constructed from 2-mm-thick stainless steel and use glass-fiber reinforced polyamide end caps. Vessels are fitted with EPDM U-packing sealers to provide superior leak proofing.

Dual Control Pump/Injection Controller
HM Digital introduces its new dual control pump/injection controller (model CIC-152). This new dual set point controller allows users to monitor and control TDS/EC levels within a specific range. The controller can be wired to activate a device such as a pump, solenoid valve, external light, etc., if the TDS/EC level rises above or falls below the user-defined maximum and minimum. There are also two independent maximum and minimum warning alarm settings independent of the control points. Additionally the controller will display a green, red or yellow light to indicate the TDS level in relation to the control points. The CIC-152 has a range of 0-9999 µS (0-5000 ppm), on-screen temperature display, automatic temperature compensation (ATC) and a bright, tri-color LED display. The sensor is always included in the price, and the controller is backed by a one-year warranty.

Connector
A design partnership between John Guest and Falcon Stainless has created a new corrugated stainless steel flexible connector with a push-to-connect fitting. The connector saves time, ensures secure installation and can be used with ¾-in. PEX, copper and CPVC for water heaters, water softeners, RO systems and residential and commercial applications. These are IAPMO listed and approved to ASME A112.18.6.
