National Testing Laboratories Achieves ISO 17025:2005 Accreditation
Ypsilanti, Mich., facility demonstrates technical competence for testing of drinking water
National Testing Laboratories Ltd. (NTL) announced that its drinking water testing facility in Ypsilanti, Mich., is now accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2005. This accreditation demonstrates technical competence for a defined scope and the operation of a laboratory quality management system.
ISO 17025:2005 is the international standard by which a laboratory’s commitment to quality is evaluated. NTL achieved this accreditation by demonstrating technical competence for the environmental testing of drinking water. ISO 17025:2005 not only considers the management and technical expertise, but also emphasizes continuous process improvement.
“Achieving ISO 17025:2005 accreditation is further evidence that [NTL] is committed to providing high quality testing for our customers,” said Robert W. Gelbach, president of NTL.
“ISO 17025:2005 was identified as a key objective in our strategic planning process and achieving the accreditation was a direct result of hard work and dedication by the entire laboratory staff. This achievement allows us to open our business to new markets and business opportunities,” said NTL Vice President Stephen Tischler.
