Members of nine organizations can earn the CEUs
Members of nine organizations can earn continuing education units (CEUs) through a partnership with the National Swimming Pool Foundation (NSPF). CEUs are required by many organizations in order for professionals to keep their expert certifications or to maintain their licenses.
In 2008, NSPF was approved as an Authorized Provider of CEUs for IACET (International Assn. for Continuing Education and Training). As a result, all NSPF courses, including the Certified Pool/Spa Operator (CPO) certification course, qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standards.
Nine organizations and government agencies recognize that NSPF courses meet the needs of their members.
Professionals can find the submission guidelines and the approved courses on the NSPF website. Those who are not members of the nine partner organizations should check with NSPF to see how they can earn CEUs by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Organizations that would like to partner with NSPF may contact email@example.com or call 719.540.9119.
CEU credits are earned by completing NSPF classroom and online education and providing required documentation, depending on the course and the professional organization’s requirements.
“IACET certification signifies the hallmark for quality in educational training,” said Alex Antonio, Ph.D., NSPF director of educational programs. “Having IACET credentials illustrates our continuing commitment as the leading educator for those who work to keep pools and spas safer and open."
