Delivery.com, HealthyOfficeWater.com offer charitable initiatives to customers

Nonprofit organization charity: water is partnering with several websites and launching online charitable initiatives to continue raising money to bring clean drinking water to people in developing nations.

At e-commerce platform Delivery.com, the newly launched initiative Charity at Checkout offers customers the opportunity to directly donate $1 to charity: water when finalizing an order. On average, the cost of a water project is $5,000 and can give a community of 250 people clean and safe water. All donations through Delivery.com will proceed directly to water project costs.

“Our unique charity program, which just launched this year, has already resulted in thousands of $5 or $10 donations to local organizations,” said Delivery.com CEO Jed Kleckner. “By harnessing the power of technology and social media to support its cause, charity: water has proven to be an innovator, and we’re excited to support its work.”

Similarly, at HealthyOfficeWater.com, which offers water purification systems for office water needs in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, the new company will donate $100 to charity: water for each water purification system rented. All systems from HealthyOfficeWater.com have multi-stage purification processes to remove bacteria, chemicals, pharmaceutical drugs, heavy metals and other pollutants from drinking water.
