Mobile Medical Disaster Relief to give all 200,000 people in the area of Thomazeau, Haiti, access to clean water
Nashville, Tenn.-based nonprofit Mobile Medical Disaster Relief (MMDR) is providing clean water to Haiti. The people of Haiti, recently listed as the poorest country in the world, have no access to clean water. Their wells, streams and cisterns are contaminated by E. coli, salmonella and cholera.
MMDR seeks to change that in the area of Thomazeau, Haiti. Using filtration devices and chlorinators, the organization plans to give all 200,000 people in this area access to clean water.
