With the Water Quality Assn.'s (WQA) annual convention is quickly approaching. WQA Aquatech USA 2014 will be held March 18 to 21 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
This annual event features hands-on training and networking opportunities, extensive educational offerings and an exhibition of the industry's newest technology. Training topics will include:
- Residential water treatment FAQs;
- Corrosion causes and treatment;
- Orientation to the culture and standards of industrial water treatment;
- Achieving marketing success with the Water Quality Research Foundation's "Softened Water Benefits" study data;
- Sizing treatment for commercial facilities; and
- Sales and marketing tips and building business value.
The keynote speaker will be Charles Fishman, author of The Big Thirst: The Secret Life and Turbulent Future of Water, a bestselling book on water in America in the past 25 years. "Water is becoming a high-stakes business where there's money to be made everywhere you look," said Fishman, who will be speaking about new opportunities that will become available as attitudes about water evolve.
The cost of attendance is $100 per person if registered before Feb. 18, and $125 after that date.
