Committees will meet to advance HI standards and guidelines efforts
Registration for the 2012 Hydraulic Institute (HI) technical meeting is now open. This year’s meeting will take place June 5 to 9 at the Renaissance Denver in Denver. Members of the HI, associate members, standards partners and qualified prospective members are encouraged to register.
The technical meeting is a venue for interested members to volunteer their expertise and join technical committees that create ANSI/HI Standards, technical guidelines and reports for pumps and pumping systems. Nearly 20 committees will meet to advance HI’s standards and guideline writing efforts. Some meeting highlights include:
A preview of the “Pump Systems Optimization: Energy Efficiency and Bottom-Line Savings” course;
A technical affairs update;
A preview of the “Rotodynamic Pump Acceptance Tests” webinar; and
PDH credit for lunchtime technical presentations.
The meeting also provides opportunities to network with North America’s top pump industry professionals. HI will host a terrace reception and dinner outing at Tamayo Restaurant in downtown Denver on June 6 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. HI also will host a reception, dinner and planetarium show at the Museum of Nature & Science on June 7 from 6 to 9:30 p.m.
Early registration discounts apply for those who register by April 27. Group discounts and “future engineering leader” discounts are also available to encourage the participation of engineers under the age of 35 who have been in the industry for less than ten years.
