Plastics Pipe Institute Sponsors One-Day Session in Orlando, Fla.
A high-density polyethylene (HDPE) development specialist from Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. LP will be one of the featured speakers at a pipe seminar in December in Orlando.
Dr. Bryan E. Hauger will speak on the material properties of corrugated HDPE pipe as part of a drainage pipe systems seminar produced by the corrugated division of Plastics Pipe Institute (PPI). The program is titled “Designing and Installing Corrugated High-Density Polyethylene for Drainage Applications.”
The seminar will be in Orlando, Fla. on Dec. 1, 2005 and will feature industry experts sharing their insight and experience with corrugated HDPE pipe and drainage applications.
The content of the program is directed toward civil engineers, public works officials, utility managers and project superintendents who specify, design or work with drainage pipe products for sanitary sewer, storm drain or culvert applications. Attendees who qualify can receive 0.7 CEUs upon completion of the seminar.
The preliminary agenda also includes speakers from PPI and several of its member companies. A special presentation will be made on why Florida engineers choose HDPE pipe.
Other topics include hydraulic design of pipelines, structural considerations, installation and life cycle costs and considerations.
