Thomas G. Leunig Earns WQA's Award of Merit

The Water Quality Association recently honored Thomas G. Leunig, CWS-IV, with its Award of Merit.

WQA presents the Award of Merit to recognize exceptional service given to the water quality improvement industry and, specifically, for outstanding support of and commitment to an association program.

Leunig has been active in the WQA for more than 18 years and has served on numerous WQA committees and task forces including Convention, Standard 61 Materials Safety, Educational Services, Ion Exchange, Membership Marketing, Plumbing Code, Public Relations, and the State Certification Review.

He has helped with fundraising throughout the nation and is dedicated to seeing that WQA thrives. He recently spearheaded the WQA/NSF certification for a product line to independent OEMs and dealers throughout North America.

The Water Quality Association is the not-for-profit international trade association representing the household, commercial/industrial, and small system water treatment industry. WQA has its own testing laboratory, an ANSI-accredited product certifier, which has a Gold Seal Certification Program solely dedicated to the certification of drinking water-related products.
