WARRENDALE, Pa., Jan. 26 -- USFilter and DMP
Corporation have formed a strategic alliance to exchange industrial wastewater
treatment technologies, products and services.
USFilter will use DMP's treatment systems,
upscale control, and diagnostic systems as part of its offerings to industrial
customers in selected markets. At the same time, DMP will offer its customers
microfiltration, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis and ion exchange systems
produced by USFilter's Industrial Wastewater Systems group, with facilities in
Billerica, Mass.; Warrendale, Pa.; and Santa Clara, Calif.
George Ellis, vice president and general manager
of USFilter's Industrial Wastewater Systems group, said the alliance will give
the customers of both companies access to a broader line of treatment
technologies. "Industrial clients seek single-source solutions to their
wastewater problems … The product lines of our two companies are very
complementary," he said.
Paul Dubinsky, executive vice president of DMP,
said the companies may expand the agreement in the future. "By adding
aftermarket and other service offerings, we are able to provide greater benefits
to our customers," he said. DMP Corporation, with headquarters in Fort
Mills, S.C., offers a complete line of automated continuous-flow and batch
treatment systems that handle wastewater from a variety of industrial processes.
