WQA certifies AquiSense’s PearlAqua water disinfection system
AquiSense Technologies announced that the Water Quality Assn. (WQA) certified its water disinfection system, PearlAqua. The system meets the requirements of NSF/ANSI Standard 372, which accredits providing lead-free water, and NSF/ANSI Standard 61, which certifies it as safe drinking water.
PearlAqua was the first-to-market UV-C LED water disinfection system and continues as the first UV-C LED system to receive NSF/ANSI certification. These certifications confirm that the system provides clean water without the use of lead.
“This is a significant step in our overall commercialization strategy” said Oliver Lawal, CEO of AquiSense. “It further validates that switching over to semi-conductor-based technology is viable in providing equal or safer water quality.”
