Steve Buckley and Grant Thornley have joined the UV Pure team
UV Pure President and CEO Rick VanSant recently announced the hiring of Steve Buckley and Grant Thornley.
Buckley has a BS in civil engineering and an MS in environmental engineering from the University of Massachusetts. He has the highest level of wastewater certification for the state of Massachusetts and is certified to the highest level with the Association of Boards of Certification for both municipal and industrial systems.
His resume reflects a wide range of expertise in engineering, building and operating wastewater and water remediation applications in industrial, municipal and military market segments. As a regular consultant to both state and federal regulators, he also brings a considerable network of U.S.-based market relationships.
His most recent positions have incorporated increasingly senior responsibilities for sales, marketing and business development functions, notably as vice president, client development with PSG, Texas; vice president of business and client development with Azurix Corp, Texas; and recently as vice president, business development and technology, Aquapoint Inc. Buckley is based in Dartmouth, Mass. He is the director of sales, engineered solutions, for the U.S. northern markets.
UV Pure also welcomed Thornley. Thornley has a 20-year history of leadership across sales, marketing and business development in water treatment technology, generally, and UV disinfection technology, specifically. Most recently, he was the global director of business development for NSF in the water segment. His previous experience includes sales leadership for Pressure Pipe Inspection Co. in Canada; sales and service manager (North America) for General Electric, Water and Process Technology Div.; national sales manager for Siemens Water Technology; and a sales management role with Nalco Canada. Thornley has developed a strong track record for opening new markets and business development.
He is a chemical engineer, currently pursuing his MBA degree. Thornley will be located in Toronto, ON, Canada, and is the director of sales, engineered solutions for the U.S. southern markets.
