Veolia Signs Agreement to Distribute MIOX Technology
MIOX technology continues to bring cost-reduction and safety to industrial markets
MIOX Corp. signed a distribution agreement with Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies for cooling tower water treatment, wastewater reuse, industrial water treatment and downstream oil and gas water applications. This partnership marks a major milestone for both Veolia and MIOX.
“MIOX technology brings a competitive edge to Veolia’s portfolio by effectively removing biofilm, reducing chemical usage and reducing carbon footprint,” said Nathalie Martin-Ionesco, global director of Hydrex (Veolia’s water treatment chemicals range).
MIOX has spent the last decade rapidly expanding its industrial cooling tower installation base and developing technologies that support water management and recycling for industrial and oil and gas applications. Many MIOX customers have pioneered solutions by integrating MIOX on-site generated chemistries into their water treatment programs. The most resounding successes have been achieved using MIOX’s flagship disinfectant Mixed Oxidant Solution (MOS) product line, primarily due to its ability to strip biofilm and algae.
“MIOX technology is scalable to meet water challenges of any size,” says Cem Candir, MIOX VP of sales and marketing. “Our proprietary on-site chemical generation process brings a unique, cost effective yet powerful product to traditional water treatment.”
This new arrangement with Veolia is consistent with the MIOX approach of establishing long-term partnerships with quality companies that have the ability to focus on specific market segments in select geographies.
