The WateReuse Assn. will host the 2015 Industrial and Commercial Water Reuse Conference in Austin, Texas on Feb. 2 to 3, 2015 — and there is still time to submit an abstract to be considered for a place on the podium. The abstract submission deadline is Friday, July 18, 2014.
The 2015 Industrial and Commercial Water Reuse Conference will focus on sustainable water policies, accounting and conservation of water and energy, and the development and application of appropriate water treatment and reuse technology. Corporate sustainability initiatives that result in measurable reductions in water use will be discussed as well as case studies and “lessons learned” related to use of municipal effluent in place of potable water and the internal reuse of industrial water supplies.
“Water used in commercial and industrial operations is an important aspect of the water sustainability equation,” said WateReuse Executive Director Melissa Meeker. “An increasing number of industries are considering water reuse to meet both their sustainability goals and water supply needs.”
Industrial water users, water professionals, and researchers interested in participating in the conference are encouraged to submit an abstracts of up to 500 words by July 18. The authors selected to give an oral presentation will be notified by Aug. 15.
