As host of the program that produced more than 180 segments, he helped viewers understand the big picture of health and the inner workings of the U.S. health care system. Also recognized as an accomplished author, he has written and published 10 books on health-related issues.

Mageeā€™s keynote address will focus on the direct correlation between access to potable water and public health. Scheduled for Oct. 12 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., the opening session has been reformatted this year to increase its value to WEFTEC attendees. In addition to the keynote address, the program will feature WEF President Rebecca West and recognition of WEF award winners and the 2009 Stockholm Junior Water Prize winners. Attendees are encouraged to attend a special Q&A with Dr. Magee immediately following the opening session program as well as a book signing later that day in the WEFTEC Bookstore.
