West Bay Selects GBA Master Series Software for Asset and Maintenance Management
The West Bay Sanitary District in Menlo Park, California, has selected the GBA Master Series£ suite of asset and maintenance management software modules for management of their sanitary sewer assets and maintenance management activities. The District chose to implement the following applications from the GBA Master Series suite: GBA Sewer Master and a field application link for sanitary sewer system management, GBA Work Master for customer requests and work order tracking, GBA Parts Inventory for materials control, GBA Equipment Master for equipment and vehicle management, and GBA GIS Master for mapping and spatial analysis.
Bill Kitajima, Project Manager, is heading up the project for the District. Nicole Schmidt, Implementation Engineer, is managing the project for GBA Master Series, Inc. As part of the project, legacy data from an existing system will be converted and transferred into the GBA Master Series software. Ms. Schmidt is currently working with the District to implement the applications and train the Districts user group. In addition, GBAMS is developing a GIS system for the District that will include Parcels, Right of Ways, and a Sanitary network using Tiled CAD drawings that the District previously developed. This GIS system is being rectified to aerial photos. GBAMS is working closely with George Butler Associates, Inc. (www.gbutler.com), a full-service engineering and architectural firm located in Lenexa, Kansas, to develop this map.
West Bay Sanitary District has headquarters in Menlo Park, California. The District owns and maintains approximately 190 miles of main line sewer, which serves the City of Menlo Park and portions of the City of East Palo Alto, the Towns of Atherton, Portola Valley and Woodside.
