The company can now display the NSF mark on the certified products
Amiad announced that major product lines based on its automatic self-cleaning screen and microfiber technology have been certified by NSF Intl. The technology meets the requirements of NSF/ANSI Standard 61 – Drinking Water System Components – Health Effects for 2015.
Based on extensive product testing, material analyses and plant inspections, NSF evaluated every aspect of the products’ construction or structure. NSF/ANSI 61 testing determines which contaminants may migrate or leach from a filtration system into drinking water and confirms that they are within the maximum levels allowed to be considered safe for human consumption. Certification to NSF/ANSI 61 assures Amiad customers that the products meet the regulatory requirements for the U.S. and Canada as well as for many other countries. As a result of the certification, Amiad can display the NSF mark on the certified products.
The key product lines that have received the certification are the AMF range based on automatic self-cleaning microfiber technology for water filtration as fine as 2 µ; and the SAF and EBS ranges based on automatic self-cleaning screen technology for water filtration as fine as 10 µ.
“We are delighted to have received this certification from the world-renowned NSF Intl. organization," said Arik Dayan, CEO of Amiad Water Systems. "It is testament to the high caliber of our products, technologies and manufacturing processes. As such, it provides further assurance to our customers that when they select Amiad filters to comprise part of their own systems, they are choosing a quality solution. We will be proud to display the NSF mark on our products.”
