Arndt has been an AWWA member for 30 years
The American Water Works Assn. (AWWA) board of directors announced that Aurel Arndt of Allentown, Pa., was elected as the association’s treasurer at the winter board meeting. The next president-elect, four new vice presidents and one new director-at-large also were selected at that time.
Arndt was most recently the CEO and CFO of Lehigh County Authority, a water and wastewater utility in Allentown. For AWWA, he is currently the chair of the Water Utility Council, which is tasked with setting legislative and regulatory priorities and positions for the association. He also is a member of the board of directors and the executive and finance committees. This year, Arndt marks 30 years as an AWWA member.
He has also been active in AWWA’s Pennsylvania Section, serving as chair, board member and a member of the Strategic Planning Committee.
Arndt holds a Bachelor of Science from Ursinus College and a master’s degree in business administration from Lehigh University, both in Pennsylvania. He is a 2006 recipient of AWWA’s George Warren Fuller Award and a 2010 recipient of the Pennsylvania Section’s Samuel Baxter Award.
