Sweden’s Bluewater water purification brand debuted at the annual Housewares Summer Show in New York City, revealing its Spirit and Pro water purifiers.

“Using patented second-generation reverse osmosis (RO) technology, Bluewater’s Spirit and Pro point-of-use water purifiers deliver the world’s most efficient tap water cleaning technology, removing over 99% of most known pollutants in water, including lead and nitrates” said Lin Guo, Bluewater U.S.A chief.

Lin noted a Bluewater Pro water purifier generates 52 gal of treated tap drinking water every hour, 24/7, while using 82% less water than RO water purifiers.

Bluewater’s compact water purifiers harness SuperiorOsmosis filtration technology innovated in Sweden and designed for use in home and commercial environments, including schools, hospitals and restaurants. Two Bluewater Pro units, able to remove chlorine, bacteria, viruses, toxic metals, fluoride, nitrate and organic compounds from tapwater, were donated to Flint, Mich., in January 2016 for use in community care centers.

Bluewater’s patented filtration technologies capture contaminants down to 0.0001 µ—500,000 times less than the diameter of a human hair—and can deliver 1,248 gal of purified water per day, which equates to 4,726 liters of water over 24 hours and meets the average daily water consumption need of 2,363 humans.

“Thanks to their unparalleled performance, Bluewater’s point-of-use water purifiers can daily make a health difference for thousands of people across New York state and America who want to avoid contaminated drinking water as well as contribute to a cleaner environment by substantially reducing the need for plastic bottles of water,” Guo said.

Bluewater water purifiers are available through a network of dealers across North America as well as from online stores such as Amazon.com and Houzz.com. In New York, they are available at EZ Water Pure in Brooklyn.
