Boston Bound

Next weekend, Water Quality Products (WQP) staff will head to Boston to attend the American Water Works Assn.’s 2014 Annual Conference & Exhibition (ACE14), taking place June 8 to 12 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.

Although education sessions and a sneak peak of the exposition will take place on Sunday, the event will get its official start on Monday with the Opening General Session. Former mayor of New York City Rudy Giuliani will speak at the event, discussing the challenges faced by municipalities today in maintaining water systems.

The exposition, featuring hundreds of companies, will be open through June 11, while education sessions will continue through the June 12. Throughout the week, a variety of special events also will take place. These include annual competitions, such as the “Best of the Best” Tap Water Taste Test on June 10, as well as facility tours that will allow attendees to visit local water treatment plants and more.

If you are attending ACE14 this year, be sure to stop by booth #2903 to meet WQP editors and pick up a complimentary copy of the magazine.

Kate Cline is editor-in-chief of WQP. Cline can be reached at [email protected] or 847.391.1007.
