KDF Fluid Treatment highlights KDF 55 process medium details
KDF Fluid Treatment Inc. announced a new brochure featuring the use of its KDF 55 process medium in point-of-use (POU) water filters. The brochure offers benefits of using KDF 55, how it works, and how it improves shower and other filtration systems. A list of many point-of-use private, public and commercial applications is also included, although the list is not exhaustive. Several charts also are available comparing cartridge/inline cartridges sizes to KDF 55 medium used, cartridge and filter dechlorination, and shower filter dechlorination.
When used ahead of the granular activated carbon stage in POU water filters, KDF 55 reduces bacteria, free chlorine, heavy metal content, scale buildup and reduces filter maintenance. It is a high-purity copper-zinc alloy that works in cold or hot water and in small or large systems. KDF 55 also helps reduce system maintenance, extend the life of some system components, and eliminates the need for expensive and toxic silver-impregnated media.
