It's a topic that has come up at many a water treatment industry event: Many water treatment professionals are reaching retirement age. This fact brings up several conundrums: How do we attract younger people to the water industry? How can veteran water treatment professionals pass their knowledge on to the next generation? How do we bridge the gap between baby boomers and millenials?
The reality is that the next generation of water professionals is already here. Many are making their mark on the industry already, and we want to hear about them! WQP currently is accepting nominations for its second annual Young Professionals recognition program. If one of your colleagues is a rising star in the water industry, tell us about him or her by submitting a nomination online at www.wqpmag.com/young-professionals-nomination-deadline-dec-23. Self nominations will be accepted, and the nomination deadline is Dec. 23. The selected Young Professionals will be recognized in WQP's Face of the Industry special edition in March 2017.
