Argonide Corporation and Omnipure are working together in the research and development of a virus reducing carbon block water filter.

Argonide is a manufacturer of technology and systems that increase the efficiency and capability of water purification. Technologies invented and manufactured by Argonide power a wide range of water filtration and purification products around the world.

“We have known for a while that DEAL is an excellent material to remove viruses, bacteria and cysts from water,” said Research Scientist Dr. Yuly Vesga in the press release. “Working with the team at Omnipure, we are very confident we can achieve a similar, yet enhanced level of performance to NanoCeram - all in a Carbon block.”

“The ability to provide both bacteria and virus reduction in a carbon block format is terrific news for Argonide and Omnipure customers,” said Bruce Saaski, director of R&D and technical services at Omnipure in the press release. “But more importantly, this is a win for customers across a range of industries who want cleaner, better tasting, and safer drinking water.”
