WQA Offering Industrial Webinars, Recertification

WQA's newest webinars are geared toward elevating service personnel for industrial treatment

The Water Quality Assn.’s (WQA) new Web-based industrial water treatment education program launched earlier in July and is designed to help companies raise their service personnel from doing only mechanical repair to understanding the interdependency of complex multi-stage treatment components and determining and meeting customer goals in the field.

There are three virtual-classroom courses, each course comprised of 15 to 20 one-hour classes. The first webinar was July 11. Get all the details on live and recorded seminars and sign up at the WQA Education page.

Some recertificationd deadlines are approaching September 30. If so, make sure you have all the credits you need: 3.0 CPD for CWS and CCO and 2.0 CPD for CI and CSR. If you have not completed the 2010 and 2011 educational kits, they are worth 1.0 CPD each. Find them at the online store under "Free Certification & Education Materials."

You can always check your recertification credits to see which materials you have already completed by logging onto wqa.org

You may earn credits while networking at your local WQA meeting. The following meetings offer exams:

  • Texas WQA, July 14;
  • South Atlantic Jubilee (Virginia), July 23;
  • Wisconsin WQA, Sept. 15;
  • Colorado WQA, Sept. 28; and
  • Pacific WQA, Oct. 9, Basics of Water Treatment Seminar: Oct. 10 and 12, exams.

Exam registration forms and details are available at wqa.org/calendar. Study kits can be purchased through the WQA Store.
