Webinar to cover recent EPA, CDC reports
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Office of Research and Development (ORD) and Office of Water (OW) announced they will host a free webinar on Legionella control in large building water systems Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 2 p.m. EST.
The webinar will cover EPA's recently released document, "Technologies for Legionella Control in Premise Plumbing Systems: Scientific Literature Review." In addition, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) will present its recently released toolkit, "Developing a Water Management Program to Reduce Legionella Growth and Spread in Buildings."
EPA’s non-regulatory document can help states and facility owners and/or operators make better informed decisions on Legionella control. CDC’s toolkit is designed to help people understand which buildings and devices need a Legionella water management program to reduce the risk for Legionnaires' disease, what makes a good program, and how to develop it.
