Attendees can earn continuing education credits, certificate
The Eastern Water Quality Assn. (EWQA) released the details of the EWQA Conference and Trade Show educational offerings. The event will be held Sept. 14 to 16 at the Bear Creek Mountain Resort in Macungie, Pa.
At the conference, 24 hours of classes qualify for continuing education credits through the Water Quality Assn. (WQA) program. Geologist Brian Oram will teach a new eight-hour course about the legalities of proper sample collection. In addition to WQA credits, this class offers a certificate of completion through Wilkes University.
The conference technical classes include the basics of ion exchange, understanding lead problems, and problems water. Roundtable discussions will also be held for on-site testing, and resins and media. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly to manufacturers about applications and troubleshooting. Classes geared towards business owners include strategic planning, creating a good company culture, and how to hire, inspire and fire when necessary.
