The tariffs impact filtration products, ion-exchange and activated carbon
The Water Quality Assn. (WQA) has provided guidance and updates on recent tariffs on goods imported from China, as well as their impact on the water treatment industry. WQA encourages water treatment specialists to send comments to congress members to educate them on the impacts these tariffs will have on public health and businesses. The tariffs will affect filtration products, ion-exchange based on polymers of headings, and activated carbon.
WQA has made available resources, including instructions for the exclusion process from the Office of the U.S. Trade Representatives, lists of the products covered by the Chinese tariffs, WQA letters submitted for 301 Committee Public Hearings and information on how to contact a congress member. WQA continues to monitor the impact of the Chinese tariffs and advocate for the water treatment industry.
