HaloSource & Jarden Consumer Solutions Launch Consumer Drinking Water Products in Latin America

The initial launch is targeting Chile, Peru and Colombia

HaloSource Inc. announced its partnership with Jarden Consumer Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Jarden Corp., a global Fortune 500 consumer goods company, to launch a line of Oster drinking water pitchers powered by HaloSource’s HaloPure water purification technology. This announcement gives further detail to the announcement on June 26, 2013, of a partnership with H20 Intl. and "a major Fortune 500 company."

The Oster brand is one of the leading brands in Latin America, and the initial launch is targeting Chile, Peru and Colombia, marking the first commercial deployment of HaloPure water disinfection technology in Latin America. The Oster brand’s distribution strengths include hypermarkets, department stores and warehouse club stores.

By 2018, the point-of-entry/point-of-use (poe/pou) water filtration and purification industry is expected to reach $16 billion in global sales, according to a 2012 report by Verify Markets.

The HaloSource product delivers fresh-tasting water and eliminates waterborne viruses and bacteria by 99.9% while preventing bacterial recontamination, keeping treated water fresher for longer.

HaloPure drinking water technology is registered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and by China's Ministry of Health and has met or exceeded all appropriate Brazilian standards of the National Institute of Metrology, Standardization and Industrial Quality. HaloPure also meets NSF/ANSI Standard 42 and has received the Water Quality Assn. Gold Seal.
