Water Events Abound

March 11, 2015

March is shaping up to be a busy month in the world of water, with two events taking place this week.

Yesterday, March 11, marked World Plumbing Day. This year, World Plumbing Council Chairman Sudhakaran Nair encouraged a focus on water conservation and efficiency. Events took place across the world, from Australia to Indonesia to the U.S., with a variety of companies and organizations participating, including Plumbing Manufacturers Intl., which released a list of the top 10 reasons why plumbing matters.

Also taking place this right now is National Groundwater Awareness Week, running March 8 to 14. This event focuses not only on conserving groundwater, but also protecting it from potential contamination. The National Ground Water Assn. took this opportunity to remind everyone to dispose of hazardous substances properly and to take water efficiency measures to ensure the protection of groundwater resources.

As I mentioned in last week’s blog, it’s also a busy month for WQP. Don’t forget to cast your vote for Dealer of the Year by taking this survey, or sign up for our upcoming free webinar, “Entering the Commercial Market: C&I Critical Assessment.”
