Kentucky American Water to Host WaterFest for Local Communities

Event includes water treatment plant tours, exhibits and demonstrations, children’s activities

Kentucky American Water is set to host WaterFest, an event aiming to educate local communities about tap water quality, water conservation and more. The event will take place Sept. 28 in Lexington, Ky. at Kentucky American Water’s Richmond Road location.

Visitors to WaterFest will be able to participate in water treatment plant tours that demonstrate how “raw” water from the Kentucky River and Jacobson Reservoir is treated to make it suitable for consumption. The event will also include educational booths and exhibits about local water service, water conservation, watershed protection and more.
