The nonprofit organization welcomed Mark Bertler as a board member and vice president of marketing
Wishing Well International Foundation (WWIF) announced that Mark G. Bertler has joined the team as a member of the board of directors and vice president of marketing. He has more than 25 years of experience in the water, wastewater and environmental industries, including senior executive positions with numerous Fortune 500 companies.
Bertler has expertise in mergers, acquisitions, business development, operations management, business analytics, strategic planning, sales and marketing management, both domestically and internationally. He is the managing partner for Watermark Solutions, a business development and financial transaction advisory firm. He is also vice president of sales and marketing for HydroNovation. His role with WWIF will be to direct corporate relations and fundraising.
“I have been following the foundation for some time,” Bertler said. “Upon learning that the Water Quality Assn. had endorsed the foundation last year, I was encouraged to start discussions with the team members. I was looking for a team that would allow me to use my expertise and contacts within the industry so I can finally give back. The water quality industry has been good to me and I can’t think of a better way to give back than to be involved in philanthropy and to work with a bunch of guys with such noble aspirations. I’m pleased to join the team, and together we will do great things for those who desperately need it.”
“We are pleased to have Mark working with us,” said WWIF founder Guillermo Guzman. “His passion to help others and give back is perfectly aligned with our vision. With Mark’s help, we will step up our efforts to bring the entire industry together, as well as expand our relations with non‐industry companies. I look forward to working with him.”
