Spreading the Word

Creating an effective advertising and marketing strategy is a challenge for any type of business, especially as advertising options on the Web and social media continue to grow and change. But DeWayne Hanes, owner of EcoloIonex and Water Quality ProductsDealer of the Month for November, has found one method to be the most valuable to his business: word of mouth.

Tried and true, word of mouth is an advertising avenue that many dealers have cited as being crucial to their companies – both anecdotally and in WQP’s recent State of the Industry survey.

The first step in ensuring that customers recommend your company to others is clear: Provide them with quality products and top-notch customer service. But knowing whether or not your happy customers will actually spread the word and tell friends and family about your great products and services is another challenge.
