… Or it will be in a few hours, at any rate! (I’m a firm believer in no Christmas decorations until after Thanksgiving.)
No matter when you put up your decorations, the holiday season is a time when many people give back, whether through donations or volunteering. It’s a prime time for companies to get involved with their communities too. As a kid, I remember going with my dad to volunteer with his coworkers by putting together boxes of food for those unable to afford holiday meals. Here at Scranton Gillette Communications (Water Quality Products’ parent company), we are in the midst of choosing a charity to donate to this year. And these types of efforts are not limited to just the holiday season – year-round, SGC employees donate books, magazines and snacks for care packages to send to U.S. troops stationed overseas.
Whether it is ongoing or a special holiday event, what type of giving back does your company engage in? Let us know in the comments below, or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
