Specification would help increase water efficiency in the commercial, institutional sectors
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released a notice of intent (NOI) to develop a WaterSense specification for flushometer valve toilets. This would help increase water efficiency in the commercial and institutional sector. The NOI describes the efficiency and performance criteria WaterSense is considering including in a draft specification, as well as the technical issues that still need to be more fully defined and resolved.
In addition, on Sept. 12, 2013, from 1 to 3 p.m., EPA will host a teleconference and webinar with stakeholders to discuss the NOI. Call in and other meeting information will be e-mailed upon registration. Meeting materials will be sent to registered participants via e-mail closer to the meeting date.
