Upcoming workshop helps those new to water treatment
The Water Quality Assn. (WQA) announced it will be offering Modular Education Program (MEP) workshops at certain summer and fall state and regional WQA conventions.
The Water Quality & Treatment Fundamentals MEP workshop is designed for anyone new to water treatment or interested in better understanding what water treatment is all about. This session will introduce working and drinking water contaminants and their effects, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Primary and Secondary standards, and water analyses. Attendees also can expect to learn about operations and sizing for residential ion exchange softening and point-of-use (POU) reverse osmosis technologies. Advance registration is preferred to ensure enough Wi-Fi connections. Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop computer (Apple or PC).
