Summary

On October 16, 2024 water utilities across the United States must submit their service line materials inventory to comply with the EPA’s Lead and Copper Rule Revision.

The work of developing and maintaining a service line inventory is essential for asset management, lead service line replacement, tap water sampling, and public confidence.

Yet, this is not new. Established data management practices can be applied, free tools and technical assistance are available, and pioneering water utilities have shown the way forward to compliance without needing to pothole every home in your utility’s service area.

Attend this service line inventory prep webinar to hear from BlueConduit’s co-founder Eric Schwartz. Eric will provide the basics of data management to streamline and improve your service line inventory for replacement planning and overall EPA compliance. Eric and Mandy will also discuss the recent Lead and Copper Rule Improvements draft from the EPA, released November 30, 2023.
